    Also, let me ask you guys a question. If this EA fails the currency shift test, but results for the recommended pairs are still good, would you still buy it?

    To understand what the currency shift test is:
    * Do your usual tick data backtest for one recommended currency pair: e.g. GBPUSD
    * Repeat that backtest for recommended another pair e.g. USDCAD under the same conditions, except for one change. Under your tick data source, instead of USDCAD, pick another pair with equal decimal places for pricing e.g. GBPUSD. And choose the same spread range as before (for the GBPUSD test)
    * In so doing, you are telling the EA that you are testing USDCAD, but in fact, you are effectively using GBPUSD tick data only.
    * In theory, your two GBPUSD results using exactly the same tick data set should be roughly the same (even if you're using "random slippage" and "variable spread" options)
    * If the results are dramatically different, this suggests the Developer coded the EA to filter in or out certain dates based on historical findings to present the best outcomes.

    So, if you do the currency shift test for this EA and the results are dramatically different for the two GBPUSD and USDCAD (using GBPUSD tick data), would you still buy it?

    I'm undecided on this one. None of this is meant to stop you from buying this or any other EA; by all means buy it if you're still OK with this. I may still buy it, but thought I would notify this finding.
