origin​

NFA began with gexbot (now gexbot classic). Aside from providing OI-based GEX updating in real-time, the central innovation behind gexbot was to include derived volume-based GEX, a feature that has since become commonplace. At first, it was unclear whether the naive assumptions of OI-based GEX (all calls bought, all puts sold) would carry over well to volume, but they did. As demand grew, the project went from a personal tool, to a discord bot, to a website. Our most recent project, the Orderflow Engine, takes things a step further: Our volatility surface model operates with millisecond level precision on derived data to classify orderflow. Having accurate inventory metrics opens the gates to a new world of analytics.

process​

Every member of NFA is a trader. Trading begins with information we trust. Features begin with the question, “what would happen if?” Then begins the work of disproving, rejecting, and disqualifying the idea. Some ideas survive. Then there is a crucial tradeoff to consider: Processing information reduces granularity, but, for the discretionary trader, granularity costs mental capital. At the end of the day, only actionable insight matters.

aim​

We don't advise, rather, we distill and disseminate information quickly and accurately. Distilling means identifying what's important, and making sure it catches the eye. Dissemination requires robust infrastructure, and an accessible interface. When this is done well, no advice is needed: the data speaks for itself.
